On behalf of Thai Fan Meet USA, I hope your holiday season is filled with love! I wish you and your loved ones the best, and remind you to use the rest of this month to rest, reset, and renew.
Please enjoy this holiday card I created to celebrate the season.
Raising awareness of the Thai BL Industry and the emerging Boys Love Communities in other parts of Asia are just some of the goals the blog hopes to highlight. Event Planners, and Artists all have the same goal: to put on amazing events and stay connected with one another.
With every new year comes a new beginning – so what will you do with this fresh start? “For last year’s words belong to last year’s language. And next year’s words await another voice.” ~ T.S. Eliot
I hope to be back next year with more engagements, virtual and in-person events and interviews. I hope you will join Thai Fan Meet in our celebrations.

The Boun-Prem Is Real virtual fan meeting was held by Neeed Bangkok and Thai Thicket Major. Originally, this concert was supposed to be held earlier this year. However, because of the pandemic the concert was moved to December 19, 2021 at 7 p.m. Bangkok standard time.
The virtual meeting started with a montage of Boun & Prem on and off screen moments so far. After the VTR concluded it opened with Boun and Prem sitting together. The MC joined the two actors onstage. Boun and Prem greeted their 500 VIP fans and other attendees via Thai Ticket Major Live Screening.
The MC translated throughout the program in three languages (Thai, Mandarin, and English) which was appreciated. *There was also a link for Japanese attendees to view subtitles.
The actors discussed their favorite scenes shooting the VTR.
Prem choose his favorite scene was getting his teeth brushed. He said he really fell asleep during shooting.
Most memorable scene: Boun mentioned that a scene was deleted: A rain scene because the rain fell down wrong because of the water hoses used.
Question + Answer Session
Q. If you had one day together where would you go?
Prem: One day is not enough. I would probably stay in my room and have breakfast and hang out together.
Boun: Play games, and stuff. That would be enough.
*There was also a question about their sleeping habits, however I didn’t understand everything that was said as the translations were live.
Games
Next, the first round of lucky fans got to play a guessing game. Prem was given three yellow sticky notes. The sticky notes were placed on his body and Boun had to guess the scent. He guessed incorrectly because he thought the scent was grapes, when in fact it was banana.
Next, Boun had three pink sticky notes placed on his body. Prem had to guess the scent. He also guessed grapes, all but one of his fans guessed incorrectly. The lucky fan guessed strawberry which allowed Prem to win the game. Boun’s punishment was to do 3 expressions: cool, sexy, and cute.
Solo & Duet Singing
A solo song was performed by Prem.*I don’t know that name of the song as it was a Thai song. Later he was joined on stage with Boun as he played the guitar. The background looked like an art gallery with various photos of both actors.
Back to the questions and answer sessions. The ongoing debate of Boun/Prem or Prem/Boun was discussed via pictures. I honestly think that as fans we care more about this topic than they really do.
The next segment asked both the actors questions regarding their favorite items. Prem mentioned how Boun travels with a pillow. Boun said that he needs that pillow whenever he travels because it helps him sleep with having a familiar scent. Eventually, Prem lost the game and had to do a cute voice recording for fans as a punishment.
After a quick social media update Boun’s solo began. Boun continued singing the song with a crystal clear beach in the back round. Prem joined his performance on stage and they walked as if they were spending a day at the beach together. Boun gave Prem a surprise kiss on the head and the song ended.
Favorite scene from their upcoming series Between Us was played. After the snippet played the actors reenacted the scene live for all the attendees. Boun and Prem talked with the Mc about filming their upcoming series. Honestly, I was a little more distracted with Prem playing with his extra long shirt.
Final Performance
After the final wardrobe change Boun and Prem sang a duet together. *Best Outfit Of The Night: All white tight fitted jackets with white pants covered with sparkly stones. First, Boun briefly played a musical instrument. The song was one that they have sung many times together and it showed with how comfortable they are with each other.
The virtual meeting concluded with both actors thanking all the fans for staying with them. Look out for their new project next year from Studio Wabi Sabi. To view the trailers for Between Us check it out here.

***The order of (q+a, solos, & fan engagement) may not be reflective in its exact order as I watched the virtual fan meeting at 4 a.m. Pacific Time.***
Thai drama actor Prem Warut Chawalitrujiwong held a retro-inspired showcase on March 27, 2021, called Prem The Journey. This is the first showcase for the Thai boy’s love actor and will be the start of many more events in the coming months.
The showcase was filled with various performances showcasing Prem’s musical taste. With a total of nine songs, audience interactions, and virtual engagement questions, the 2-hour showcase flew by.
PRESHOW
The showcase was held at the Ultra Arena Show DC for the in-person audience in Thailand. Thankfully several fans in attendance posted videos of the soundcheck and press conference for international fans and for those who couldn’t attend. *Hopefully in the future artists will designate a social media representative so that international fans can feel like they’re also a part of the preshow activities.
SHOWTIME
The showcase began with a Prem singing a Thai song with a school-age and fun theme that included riding mini bikes with training wheels. Followed by another Thai song and outfit change into an all-white jumpsuit that resembled cute paper dollies.
HIGHLIGHT
A little more than twenty minutes into the showcase fans of the Until We Meet Again series were delighted as Prem was joined onstage with his on-screen partner Boun Noppanut Guntachai. Prem played the guitar and they sang a song by Daniel Caesar featuring H.E.R called Best Part. The beginning of the song was sung in English, with a bridge mixture of Thai freestyle, closed with the original version.
After the song concluded they talked about their experience so far as actors who have worked together. Boun gave birthday wishes to Prem and a huge bouquet of red roses. Followed by the OST for the Until We Meet Again series. If you want to listen to the official MV you can check it out below courtesy of the Studio Wabi-Sabi Youtube channel.
MAKE IT RIGHT
A brief intermission was held with Thai actors Boom and Peak from the Make It Right Thai drama series. They entertained the audience with a song selection. For fans of the series who haven’t seen the actors interact together in a while, it was a welcome intermission.
VIRTUAL INTERACTIONS
After a quick outfit change Prem danced to I’m Bringing Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake. Next, it was time for virtual interactions from the hundreds of fans who were watching. Five lucky fans were chosen from the lucky fan video wall and were allowed to ask a question. The last interaction came from another U.S. fan. She showed her appreciation for all of Prem’s hard work, training, and dedication.
EMOTIONAL ENDING
Through tears and laughter, Prem said a heartfelt thank you to his mother and people who supported him. His sincere message was felt even though every word was not fully translated. The credits started rolling and those fans that believed this was the ending were in for a surprise.
Prem came back on stage and a video message from fans played. Yellow stars with his name written flashed across the screen from fans all over the world. He thanked the fans once again while tearfully singing and concluded the showcase.
This showcase was available for fans all over the world to enjoy thanks to MyFun.Live streaming platform. The price for the ticket costs 960 baht ($30.75 USD).
Upcoming events for Boun and Prem include a fan meeting BounPrem is Real, 1 Day Together on April 18, 2021, in Thailand. You can find more information here.
On Saturday, 26th February, the Tonhon Chonlatee virtual fan meeting event was held. Hundreds of virtual fans gathered together from around the world, to celebrate the casts and everyone who worked on the programming.
The main characters include Podd Sriphothong (Tonhon) and Khaotung (Chonlatee). The series first aired in November 2020 and had strong support role characters from Mike Chinnarat Siriphongchawalit and TopTop Jirakit Kuariyaku. Mike and TopTap reprised their roles from the popular Thai drama Together The Series.
If you would like to watch The Tonhon Chonlatee Series you can check it on the GMMTV Youtube channel here.

For a full list of the cast, plot and series actors visit Wikipedia here.
To celebrate the series Tonhon Chonlatee Let’s Sea Live Fan Meet was held via Thai Ticket Major. The price to attend the event costs 690 baht + processing fee which converts to about (USD 22.35) or fans could purchase a VIP ticket which costs 1200 baht (approx. USD 40).
VIRTUAL ACTIVITIES
The event began with the four main actors singing a song together while the serene virtual background played in the distance. The lights came on and the show hostess P’Godji and two translators came onto the stage. Everyone then welcomed six hundred lucky fans who were either VIP purchasers or winners from a special drawing.
L-R: P’Godjii, Podd, KT, TopTap, Mike, P’Wave & Japanese Translator
A routine virtual event formula continued with cast introductions. Followed by a friendly discussion about rehearsals, behind-the-scenes, and games. Interesting facts that were discussed from the actors was that for some of them this was their first fan meeting and they were really nervous. To some fan this may come as a surprise as he seems like he wouldn’t be nervous since he is well known for uploading popular TikTok dance videos.
The game that was played was called “Act It Out.” It consisted of the two couples who would each act out a scene from the series. The lucky fans choose the first scene for both couples. At the end of their scene Mike and TopTap finished with an adorable heart pose and Podd and KT staged a favorite fan moment.
After reading the audience’s comments, five lucky fans were then allowed to ask questions to each of the actors. The questions ranged from what’s their favorite book, to what they admire most about each other.
BEST MOMENT:
Mike and TopTap left the stage for a quick outfit change while the remaining two actors and hostess discussed their nervousness. Mike and TopTap then sang about the luck number 7 a Thai song (*I’m not sure about the name of the song as it wasn’t provided on the screen). They then did their most popular TikTok dance and encouraged all of the zoom attendees to join in on the activity.
Podd and KT followed suit and sang a song together. After singing together the MC’s joined them onstage again. To encourage audience participation they demonstrated a popular dance and then asked the audience to join in on the fun.
Mike and TopTap rejoined the other two cast members and the MC’s for more fan engagements and discussion. Eventually, the event concluded with actors thanking everyone for joining the virtual fan meeting event and the staff who helped bring the whole project together.
Although the pandemic has made travel and large in-person events nearly impossible, Thai artists — from television productions, individuals artists to the fans themselves — have rallied to remain connected and supportive of their favorite entertainers. As virtual events platforms become more accessible fans can look forward to joining concerts and festivals around the world as long as there are subtitles of course.

On Saturday, 13th February, the TharnType series came to an end. I joined fans from around the world, in anticipation of celebrating the series. The Livestream event was hosted by the Thai Ticket Major.
This review may contain spoilers.
Mew (Tharn) and Gulf (Type) first portrayed these iconic characters in TharnType in October 2019 and the series instantly became a fan favorite. They reprised their roles for Season 2 and the series began airing on the 6th November 2020.

If you would like to watch the TharnType Season 2 Special episode you can purchase it on Vimeo.
TharnType Season 2: 7 Years Of Love, resumes seven years later with Tharn and Type still dating. Both characters are working adults and dealing with the everyday issue of balancing work, family, and friends. The series concluded with Type’s father finally excepting Tharn as his son-in-law and Torn (Tharn’s brother) getting married.
To celebrate the series finally Tharn and Type’s Wedding Day Special event was held. The price to attend the event costs 199 baht + processing fee which converts to about (USD 7.35).
The event began with a quick recap of special moments from the TharnType series.
After the scenes from the series ended the host P’Que and the Season 2 casts came out for introductions. Next, behind-the-scenes clips were shown as the cast members discussed their memories of filming the particular scenes. English, Chinese, and Japanese subtitles were provided during the special so international fans could follow the programming.
Fellow actors Mild, Tong (Thorn’s brother), and Maria (Tharn’s sister) joined the remaining cast. Games were played with the on-screen couples to see who would win or lose. *Special moment for my ghostship when Boat briefly went and stood next to Mild. The losing team was then forced to make cute poses while starring at the camera. Which was a bonus for the fans as we were able to screen capture all of the cute moments.
A special moment occured when Mew and Gulf sang a duet together, facing each other and the audience as beautiful images played in the background. The event concluded with the casts saying their final farewell messages and a festive lion dance to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
Overall, the live stream was beautifully throughout the entire event and it was nice to celebrate the series finally with the casts, and dedicated fans. There were some hiccups with the special event that will have to be worked out. I’m not sure if it was technical difficulties or other concerns but, the event started late. Also, the closed captions weren’t entirely one-hundred percent during the event. Thankfully, I was able to connect with other international fans on Twitter and we kept the momentum of the activities tweeting back and forth.
If you would like to check out TharnType highlights and behind-the-scenes, check out their Youtube channel.
You can watch TharnType The Series on Line TV and don’t forget to follow the social media channels for the latest updates on Twitter and Facebook.
